2025 NATOMAS FA SPRING
RECREATIONAL/GRASSROOTS REGISTRATION

RECREATIONAL/GRASSROOTS | U5-U8

Come enjoy our Spring Recreational/Grassroots program, specifically designed for children in the U5-U8 age groups.

 Program Focus

  • Teaches the game fundamentals with the focus on individual development

  • Developing foundational skills to help them progress in the game

  • Develop a passion for the game

  • Coached by supportive and enthusiastic parent volunteers

  • Coaching education provided by Natomas FA Director of Coaching and Sac Republic FC

Birth Years: 2017 - 2020

  • Age Groups: Players are divided into two different age groups based on birth year

  • U6 will contain players born in 2020 and 2019

  • U8 will contain players born in 2018 and 2017

Registration Cost/Dates: 

  • $200.00 ($25 rebate available when 5 family volunteer hours are completed)

  • Late Registrations will have a charge of $15 applied when completed after February 17, 2025

  • Final Registration Date: March 15, 2025

Uniforms

  • $30 (required purchase if player does not have the current (2022-present) Natomas FA jersey. 

  • Jerseys will be provided with your uniform purchase

  • You will need to provide shorts and socks. Navy blue shorts and socks are suggested.

Program Details

  • 10 week program (1 practice/training per week, 1 match each Sat)

  • 4v4 format

  • 40 minute games (no referees, no goalkeepers, all focus in on field play and development)

  • 1 hour training sessions

Timeline Spring 2025

  • Final Registration Date: March 1st, 2025

  • First match Sat, March 15th, 2025

  • Last match Sat, March 17th, 2025

  • 10 league matches

  • Teams are formed and coaching needs identified: March 1st-8th

  • Recreational Coaches Meeting: TBD (early March)

  • Team Rosters Posted and Practices Begin: March 10th

  • Games Begin: Sat, March 15, 2025

  • Games End: Sat, May 17, 2025

RECREATIONAL/GRASSROOTS | U9-U19

We do NOT currently offer a Grassroots program for this age group in Spring since many Grassroots players choose to play other sports in Spring.

If your player is interested in spring play, you are invited to check out our Competitive Academy Spring Program, which helps introduce Grassroots players to competitive soccer.
